Prof. Julia Scher was born in Hollywood, California/USA, in 1954. After studying arts at the ”UCLA” and the ”University of Minnesota”, Julia Scher was visiting professor at the ”Massachusetts Institute of Technology” and several other institutions. Since 2006 she has been engaged as a professor at the ”Academy of Media Arts” in Cologne. As an artist she was awarded numerous scholarships and accolades. Her artworks are concerned with monitoring as well as cyberspace, and analyze the structures of power, authority and seduction. www.khm.de
Georg Elben studied art history, political sciences and German Studies in Bonn, Milan and Karlsruhe. Since 1993 he has been working as an art consultant for the ”KfW Bankengruppe” in Bonn and Berlin, where he assembled a collection of young German artist’s works. Most recently he arranged the exhibition ”Oops! I did it again” by Christian Jankowski for the ”Kunstmuseum Bonn” and the exhibition ”Who killed Bambi?” for Thomas Steffel (2006). In 2005 and 2006 he curated the ”Videonale 10“ and the ”Videonale 11 – Festival for contemporary Videoart” consecutively in Bonn. www.videonale.org
Chantal Blatzheim was born in Cologne, Germany, in 1981. She studied art history at the ”Universidad Antonio de Nebrija”, Madrid, the ”Université Paris III” and the ”University of Cologne”. Since 2007 she has been chairwoman und curator of the cologne based ”e-room”, a projection room for contemporary European art.
