St. Gereon is one of the twelve largest romanic basilicas in the oldes part of the city,
its preservation supported by the Förderverein Romanische Kirchen Köln. It is a reference of architecture of late antiquity. Determining element of the structure is an arched rotunda in form of a decagon, with four conches north and south of the
